FAQ's

Welcome to the JM Press FAQ. Here, you’ll find answers to the most common questions about our digital editions — from colors and formats to printing, usage, and policies. We’ve designed this page to help you get the most out of your JM Press experience.

What formats and styles are available?

We know that different people prefer different styles of organizing their thoughts, so we offer:

Interactive PDFs

~ Styles: Lined or Dotted.

~ High-resolution colors (best for tablets or apps).

~ Designed for easy navigation with clickable buttons and hyperlinked tables of contents.

Printable PDFs

~ Styles: Lined or Blank.

~ Optimized for printing in US Letter size (8.5 x 11 inches).

~ Lower-resolution backgrounds so you won’t use up too much printer ink.

How do I use JM Press products?

~ Interactive PDFs: Open them in any annotation app and use the built-in navigation buttons (top right or side of the page) and hyperlinked table of contents. Works well on iPads, tablets, or desktops.

~ Printable PDFs: Download, print at home or at a local print shop, and enjoy a clear, ink-friendly design.

Which apps can I use JM Press products with?

Our interactive PDFs work seamlessly with most annotation and note-taking apps, including:

~ GoodNotes

~ Notability

~ Adobe Acrobat Reader

~ Xodo

~ Noteshelf

Any app that supports interactive PDFs will allow you to make the most of JM Press editions.

Are JM Press products editable?

No. Our products are locked to protect the design and structure. They cannot be edited or altered in design software.

~ This ensures the integrity and quality of your edition.

~ If you’re interested in licensing JM Press products for resale or customization, stay tuned — we may offer licensing opportunities in the future.

Are JM Press products made in Canva?

No. JM Press products are uniquely designed using professional design tools. Each prompt, page, and layout has been carefully created and refined. These are not generic Canva templates.

Why do JM Press editions feel so introspective and thought-provoking?

Our editions were born from a deep self-awareness journey. The founder realized there weren’t enough guided, thought-provoking tools available for people who:

~ Wanted to reflect deeply, but didn’t know where to start.

~ Couldn’t afford therapy or wanted a supplement to therapy.

Each edition is intentionally designed with prompts and layouts that encourage reflection, self-growth, and clarity — making JM Press a supportive companion in your personal journey.

Do JM Press products include refunds?

Because JM Press offers digital products, we cannot accept returns or issue refunds once a file has been downloaded.

~ If you encounter any technical issue (e.g., a broken link or missing file), contact us at support@thejmpress.org and we’ll resend or update your download.

~ If we release updated versions of your purchased product (e.g., fixing typos or adding small improvements), you’ll be notified and receive access to the update.

Do JM Press products come in different lengths?

Yes. Different editions highlight different time frames or structures. For example:

~ Wellness editions may include 30-day or 90-day trackers.

~ Beauty editions include specific logs such as skincare routines or perfume trackers.

~ Other editions are built as full planners or guided journals.

You’ll find the length and highlights of each edition clearly stated in the product description.

What printing size do JM Press printables use?

All printable versions are formatted for US Letter size (8.5 x 11 inches).

Will I receive both digital and physical products?

No. JM Press products are digital only unless otherwise stated. Nothing will be shipped to you.

How many times can I download my files?

Each purchased file can be downloaded up to three times. Make sure to save your files securely on your device for future use.

Why does JM Press offer so many colors?

We believe that creativity and productivity are deeply tied to mood. Not every day feels the same, so why should your tools look the same?

~ Some days call for calm, neutral tones.

~ Other days, you may want vibrant, uplifting colors.

~ Each edition has consistent base colors throughout the product — from the first page to the last.

For each color, we also provide two writing pad options:

~ White (classic and easy on the eyes).

~ A lighter or darker shade of the edition’s base color.

This allows you to choose based on your mood, lighting needs, or simply your personal preference. For example, darker pads can help reduce screen glare, while lighter pads give a more traditional writing feel.

How to use on Tablets

Our templates are locked for protection. That means:

~ You can write on them, type, highlight, or annotate.

~ You can rearrange or duplicate pages in most apps.

~ You cannot change the underlying design, text, or elements.

~ You cannot unlock or edit the base file.
